The food was SO GOOD, as well as clean and healthy. The Chile sin carne was a table favorite. The restaurant staff was lovely and recommended an excellent IPA we wouldn’t have otherwise tried. Also an interesting space - loved the very old painted doors. Lots of room to talk as the space was open and comfortable.
We had lunch here after a visit to the castle. The Thai red curry was delicious and wholesome! We had the “small” portion which was honestly plenty for even a very hungry person, and the raspberry lemonade was delicious. Highly recommend for a wholesome, delicious meal with great service
My favourite vegetarian lunch spot in Ghent. The bubbly owner Sara makes you feel like you've been going there for years, even though it's only been a handful of times. What a spot, what a vibe! Their Davai clear meal soup with dumplings is my go to meal, in winter and in summer. The dumplings are to die for, flavoursome and still with a bite. The filling is deliciously homemade with ginger, edamame, garlic, and gochugaru pepper. It's a full meal coz the hearty clear broth comes with a hard-boiled egg, soy sprouts, spring onions, Chinese cabbage, sesame seeds and Judas ear 🍄 A touch of healthy asia in a bowl! Many great drinks options, cold and warm. Kefir, kombucha, golden latte etc.
Lovely fresh ingredients with great vegetarian options most of which could also be made vegan. The staff were very friendly and accommodating; fluent in English, French and Dutch. Nice atmosphere and family friendly. We didn’t make a reservation but probably worth doing if you know you’re going in advance as it was busy when we went!
Came here for lunch on a Monday, and boy, was I glad I had a reservation. The place filled up so quickly within 20 minutes that it felt like a weekend. I ordered the soup with dumplings which turned out to be a splendid choice. The dumplings has lots of flavor and the soup was warm and tasty.
